Toonami rant with ImpulsiveSpidercide and GearsX.

GearsX: Hello, fellow DA'ers. This is our first rant. Let me introduce myself, I'm GearsX and I have a very special guest with me. Introduce yourself, my friend.

ImpulsiveSpidercide: I am ImpulsiveSpidercide!

GearsX: Today, we are talking about an action block that is very special in our hearts, Toonami. As you all know, Toonami was recently canceled by Cartoon Network. Spidercide and myself want to give our thoughts on the recent cancellation.

ImpulsiveSpidercide: It's bullshit. Pure bullshit.

GearsX: You're damn right it's bullshit. Now, I'm letting you start off this rant, take her away.

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Toonami nurtured me during my adolescence. Toonami gave me Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Tenchi, Batman, Superman, Justice League, Naruto, and so many others that it would be impossible to list. I had at least five good years with Toonami, and I am grateful for all of them.

GearsX: I never had Cartoon Network until at least the early 2000s. But I enjoyed pretty cool shows like Yu-Gi-Oh and its sequel, Yu-Gi-Oh GX, The Funimation dub of One Piece, Justice League, DBZ, and other shows that I can't possibly recall.

ImpulsiveSpidercide: It is a shame that Toonami is gone now. I have no idea where it all went so wrong. I have no idea how things could have gotten like this.

GearsX:  I hear that. We would enjoy watching American cartoons and anime from 7 to 11. I think it's so retarded that it got cut down to 2 hours. And to quote the Angry Video Game Nerd: "What were they thinking?"

ImpulsiverSpidercide: Yes, what are your finest memories of Toonami? Are you as outraged as we are?

GearsX: We do want to hear from you fans out there on your greatest moments of Toonami. Back to our rant. Spidercide, do you recall any other shows you watched on Toonami?

ImpulsiverSpidercide: I named all the ones I could remember. Except G Gundam. G Gundam was good stuff.

GearsX: G Gundam wasn't bad even though I'm not a fan of the Gundam series or giant robot anime in general. Before you fandudes start sending any hate mail, there is some giant robot shows I like such as Transformers, Big O, Eureka 7. But I never liked Neon Genesis Evangelion because of heavy religious reference. Did you say you liked NGE because of the female characters?

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Yes.

GearsX: Thought so. What's the name of that one show where giant robots race out on the track?

ImpulsiveSpidercide: IGPX.

GearsX: Another great anime. It sucks it went off the air. Cartoon Network should've aired that show in fuckin' reruns on Toonami's final days. Now, let's talk about Justice League and Teen Titans. Since you know more about those shows than me, you take over from here.

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Justice League and Teen Titans were animated adaptations of the two greatest teams in DC Comics history. Justice League represented the proud tradition of heroism that existed in the DCU. Teen Titans represented the next generation of that proud tradition. Both lasted five seasons, and did spectacularly.

GearsX: Justice League was a pretty badass show but in the last few seasons,  I didn't like seeing Batman being kept out of the loop and not to mention that god damn Bat-embargo. The Batman villians fit pretty well in the show. The Joker made three appearances. Clayface made one appearance. Who am I forgetting?

ImpulsiveSpidercide: And even Aquaman's villains were kept out, in the end.

GearsX: I forgot Deadshot, my bad.

ImpulsiverSpidercide: Yeah.

GearsX: Hell, even the characters from Batman Beyond showed up. That right there is star power.  What else can you give to the members of our audience?

ImpulsiveSpidercide: We're ranting because we had something with a bright past and an uncertain, but potentially bright, future, and that future was snatched away from us!

GearsX: Yeah!

ImpulsiveSpidercide: And we are doing this to let you all know, this will not be tolerated!

GearsX: All right, let's calm down. Let's talk about the Toonami movies.

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Toonami also aired some good anime movies. Like the movies for Sailor Moon R, S, and SuperS. Awesome stuff there.

GearsX: The two Hellboy movies: Sword of Storms and Blood and Iron. I have those two movies on DVD by the way.

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Yeah.

GearsX:  What other movies? Oh, Spider-man and Spider-man 2.

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Yeah.

GearsX: What else? Oh, there was that Naruto movie that aired on Toonami. Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow. Another movie that I have on DVD. It would've been incredible to see other Naruto movies air on Toonami like Legend of the Stone of Gelel or Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom. Hell, even Naruto Shippuden deserved to air on Toonami.

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Yeah.

GearsX: At least Cartoon Network had some brains to leave that show alone. Checked Wikipedia for the scheduling of that show. Cancel that show and the whole thing will get more worse than it already is. Anyway back to the movies, do you remember Miyazaki month?

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Yeah. Those were the good times.

GearsX: What were the names of the Miyazaki movies that aired on Toonami? I know two of them were Princess Mononoke and Castle in the Sky. And Spirited Away, I forgot to mention that. What's the fourth movie?

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Howl's Moving Castle was the fourth.

GearsX: Thanks for remembering that. A Month of Miyazaki was a great block to honor one of the most well known directors in the anime industry.  I used to own Princess Mononoke on DVD but I traded it at Gamestop although Gamestop isn't a part of this topic. Which Miyazaki did you like the best?

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Don't know, they were all pretty damned good.

GearsX: It would've been nice for Cartoon Network to air those movies back in August even for one last time. Why they didn't do that was beyond me. Would've it killed them to do a Month of Miyazaki for August? Apparently yes. What the blue fuck is the matter with you, Cartoon Network!?

ImpulsiveSpidercide:  They're idiots.

GearsX: You're god damn right they're fuckin' idiots. I know we can do this rant without swearing but we are so royally pissed off about the unceremonious cancellation of Toonami.  We're not trying to turn this into a all out swearfest, folks. Spidercide and myself are just really angry about this. If we are swearing our heads then we are sorry. We are trying to be very professional in this rant.

ImpulsiverSpidercide: Yes, we are. We're just very passionate.

GearsX: The old Toonami was awesome, I loved how TOM looked and he had a AI sidekick named Sara. I thought these two had a really good chemistry together. It would be so great to see them announce the following shows, cutting to commercials, when they're coming back. But this new TOM looked like crap and Sara didn't even get a part in Toonami in the recent years. She was basically forgotten in the final iteration of Toonami, that's so stupid.

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Yes, that was stupid.

GearsX: Even TOM's role was reduced considerably. All he did was show up during the opening and gave out promotions while these two robots that one doesn't even care about are doing the broadcast duties. That just killed Toonami for me. That and reduce the show to a mere 2 hours.

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Uh-huh. I only watched for Naruto, and with Naruto being in Filler Hell . . . I couldn't even bother anymore.

GearsX: Just be glad about the Naruto fillers are ending pretty soon. Trust me, I kept track on Wikipedia. To you, the Naruto filler arcs were the final nail in Toonami's coffin?

ImpulsiveSpidercide: Yeah. They did ruin Toonami for me.

GearsX: From I've heard recently, there's gonna be a new action block for Saturday night. I hope it'll be like the old Toonami long before Cartoon Network screwed it up and put some good cartoons and anime on there. Not to mention have movies every now and then. But I'm not gonna get my hopes on it just yet. I'm just about ready to close this rant. Spidercide, got any final thoughts about Toonami's uncalled for cancellation?

ImpulsiveSpidercide:  I'm hoping the new block is good, too. It better have something to compensate for not being Toonami.

GearsX: Same here. It's time to bid farewell, I would like to thank ImpulsiveSpidercide joining me in this rant. If it wasn't in-depth enough, it's the best we can say. This is GearsX...

ImpulsiveSpidercide:  And this is ImpulsiveSpidercide . . .

GearsX:  Saying catch you all later and stay gold, everybody.
ImpulsiveSpidercide and myself decided to do a rant on the unnessecary cancellation of Toonami. This is our thoughts, views, and opinions on what happened last Saturday. Oh, how we did the rant was I cut and pasted our words during an aol chat and I made some edits to make it look professional and readable. This was inspired by BigAl2K6 since he did some TEXT rants on this site. BigAl, if you're reading this, Spidercide and myself didn't rip you off in any shape or form whatsoever. We're just telling our feelings about Toonami's cancellation. To MarvelNinja, if you're reading this too, I'm gonna give you an update on chapter 3 of Avenger and Shinobi. I'm currently writing it right now and I'll have it up on Fanfiction.net sometime in the near future. Enjoy the rant everyone.
