Hello, everyone. This is GearsX with another rant. In this rant, I'm goin' after a petition of the recently released Devil May Cry reboot. To be honest, I'm not a fan of Devil May Cry. I'm not just talkin' about the reboot but the entire franchise in general. I'm not goin' into the history of the series or anythin' because I just don't care about Devil May Cry one damn bit. But I am gonna talk about this petition to get DMC taken off store shelves and what really makes it ridiculous is the idiots who started the petition wanted to get President Obama to ban the sales of the game.


From what I've heard, the petition was taken down due to violating terms and conditions but this was stupid enough to earn a rant from me since it received attention from various gaming websites. With that out of the way, let's start this bitch.


I know Devil May Cry purists were extremely angry about Capcom and Ninja Theory changing Dante's look for the reboot and I can understand that but there's a group of these purists willing to stoop so fucking low by starting a petition to get the reboot banned and having the President to waste his time over a mere video game is so freakin' sad. President Obama has more important matters to take care of than banning some video game. Do you "entitled fans" have any sense of logic at all? Really? Starting some dumb petition to get the President to sign? I scoff at this, I really do.


I'm gonna highlight what this stupid petition says right here and I quote:

"Dear Mr. Obama: As a consumer to the Video Game Industry there is one Video Game that has caused a lot of controversy over the past few month's.

The name of the game is DmC: Devil May Cry made by Ninja Theory and Capcom. A majority of gamer's are aggravated that this game has changed so much from it's past predecessors and the game actually insults the consumers in-game.

We, as consumers did not want nor need this reboot and we believe it violates our rights to have a choice between the original's or the reboot. This game is violating our rights as a consumer and we believe it should be pulled off shelves from game stores due to it's insulting nature and the fact that it violates our rights.

Please Mr. Obama, look into your heart and make the decision that will please us Gamers."

You can seriously tell this thing has problems. First, you don't say "Mr. Obama", say President Obama or Mr. President. You don't know him personally, so don't call him Mr. Obama. Second, don't put capital letters in parts of the sentence where they don't belong unless it's the first word of the sentence. Third, why are you using apostrophes? Words like "orignals" and "gamers" shouldn't have apostrophes. Have you failed typing or writing class? Go back to school and learn how to write and type. And lastly, how is Devil May Cry violating your rights as a consumer? Sure, it's your right not to buy the game but its not violating any consumer rights. People can choose to buy and play Devil May Cry or not. I know there are DMC fans who actually enjoy this game and that's fine. They have every single right to enjoy the reboot.

I'm sorry but this kinda shit just pisses me off. These "entitled fans" think by starting some pointless petition and getting the President to sign it, Devil May Cry is gonna go away and scatter into the four winds. In reality though, DMC is here to stay whether they like it or not. I have a message to the petitioners out there, stop wasting your time and everyone elses' time. You forced me to waste my time in doin' this rant on your pathetic and pointless petition to get rid of Devil May Cry. Do me, yourselves, and everyone else a favor by quit acting like babies. It's bad enough people complained about other video games like Sonic Generations and Mass Effect 3. If you truly care about the Devil May Cry franchise, buy the Devil May Cry HD Collection. At least you'll get your precious original Dante in that one.
